"Tea for Two - A Tribute to Stephane Grappelli" (Gypsy Jazz)
"Toe-tapping history - Emily Gelineau brings a youthful brightness and energy much needed in Jazz." ★★★★ Fringefeed, 2024
'With Gelineau's impressive violin, vocals and piano, I’d go as far as to say the performance was a highlight of this year’s FRINGE WORLD Festival calendar." ★★★★★ Fringefeed, 2025
Created by Emily Gelineau in 2024 for the FringeWorld Festival, Emily Gelineau tells the story of her largest musical inspiration Stephane Grappelli, through gypsy jazz. Accompanied by a three-piece band of upright bass, guitar and drums, Emily celebrates Stephane and his legacy through her own arrangements and reimaginings of his repertoire. Not only does she play the violin, but she pays homage to Stephane's incredible piano skills by performing some of his favourite solo piano standards, and sings in both French and Portuguese, highlighting the worldly connections that Stephane made in his musical life.
The FringeWorld editions of the show runs for 50 minutes, however she has presented extended versions of the show that can be 2 x 45min sets, or 90 mins straight through.
Outside of her Stephane-dedicated show, she also performs her own show aptly named "Emily Gelineau - The Jazz Violin", where she presents her arrangements of gypsy jazz, french jazz, brazilian jazz and jazz standards amongst her ensemble.

Jazz Tupiniquim (Brazilian Jazz)
"Baile Tupi! wasn’t just a gig - it was a full-blown Brazilian dance party, and I already want to go again" - Bridget Woodward
"The rhythms, the atmosphere, the sheer joy of it all - it was like a little Brazilian holiday without leaving Perth." - ★★★★★ Fringefeed, 2025
"The mix of classic Brazilian rhythms with Jazz and the horn section makes for a vibrant night’s music. The band was incredibly tight, jumping in unison from one complex riff to the next, the horns duelling with each other and the violin, then snapping into an airtight harmony." - Ian Lilburne, Xpress Magazine
